Greg Yaitanes has a short interview with Doris Egan at his Twitter page in advance of Monday's episode. Minor spoilers.

Q&A with David Shore and Katie Jacobs at Forbes.com.

Only spoiler is related to one that's been very, very widely leaked.

The final paragraph:
Quote:
What annoys us is we know exactly how it happened and we know how it continues to happen, we just aren't completely sure of who's doing it. Mike Ausiello, who writes for Entertainment Weekly, has, as he calls it publicly, a "mole" on the set. David and I have gone down to the set and warned them. We've said, 'We all put in long hours and we want to feel comfortable where we work.' It's actually a real problem--a problem with morale as it takes away from the job we're trying to do.

I think it has to be particularly galling that it comes from Entertainment Weekly, which IMO has always been non-supportive of the show. They're not nasty about it, they don't attack the show, they just treat it like it doesn't exist.

Omar Epps has a VERY Foreman-esque line

Hugh and Kal both show up in People's 2009 100 sexiest men in 1 minute video. (I'll admit about half of them have me thinking ... Hey, that's .... and then I forget their name before the next one comes up.) But John Cho (House connection, "Love Hurts" from the first season) also shows up. Yay!

I think the really nasty part of this article is that Ausiello is bold enough to say he's colluding with someone on the House set to get his scoops. I took Ausiello out of my favs after hearing about this earlier. Just awful.

Totally agree idon, but really, isn't that what all the people peddling spoilers are doing to one degree or another? (other than the mild ones TPTB provide). MA and EW are just being particularly blatant and offensive about it but it is a kind of a sneaky, even dirty business at its worst. They don't call 'em spoilers for nothing.

The type of spoilers someone like him is going after are scoops. EW is paying him for his connections and his ability to get stories that no one else has. If all they're going to do is parrot the press releases, EW can hire some kid to do that after school each day.

If he's a good reporter, he's going to talk to people and pick up pieces of info which he'll put together like a puzzle then confirm it. With Ausiello, I get the feeling that his interpretation of that is to write the biggest checks to sources.

Another House connection is that he made a couple of obscure movies with Kal Penn.

True, but I was speaking of direct connections.

As to Ausiello ... I work in the news business and I fully understand the need to have confidential contacts who can leak you information -- but you don't then call up the CEO and say "Hah, Hah!" </Nelson Muntz> Everybody knows it's the way the game is played, but at the same time, he's putting his contact at risk of losing his/her job by all but exposing him/her. He could very easily say "my contacts" or "sources tell me," but instead Ausiello goes out of the way to brag about his person at the set. The whole thing becomes less about him getting information that his readers and editors want, and more about sticking his finger in the TPTB's faces.

He'll always be Harold to me.

Ausiello is a professional douchenugget. He is such a sorry excuse, I have no doubt he would enjoy an evening out with Jon Gossellin.

I'm certainly not going to defend Ausiello or his source, but the relationship between TPTB at House and Ausiello seemed to be fine until the Jennifer Morrison story came to a head. Ausiello delivered a scoop, Katie Jacobs immediately implied that he had the story all wrong, which cast doubt on his integrity, in my opinion. His next reaction was to go a step further and explain why he believed his first report to be true, revealing that it came from his "mole." Spoiler: (JMo's trailer being empty.)

Again, I'm not defending Ausiello, but his core information is usually solid, even if he often spins it in outrageous directions. I think he was almost forced into revealing that he actually had a mole because his integrity was questioned. Of course, even the mention of a mole threatens that particular relationship.

Obviously, YMMV.

Four more promo pictures for "Known Unknowns" are up at FoxFlash, involving House/Cuddy and Cuddy/Lucas. (I wasn't sure where to put this, since it's not a spoiler anymore? Media seems like the closest thread.)

Those latest pics look like posed photos as opposed to shots from a scene that was filmed. The House/Cuddy and Cuddy/Lucas pics are very cute.
